Chili sin carne with sunflower mince

The classic chili con carne can also be made without meat and is just as delicious and fiery. With just a few ingredients, you can create this hearty and healthy chili sin carne. Sunflower mince lets you add the meat substitute of sunflowers to this Mexican dish. Simply serve with rice, nachos, or rolled into delicious burritos.

Zutaten

  • 76 g sunflower mince
  • 1 chili pepper chopped
  • 1/2 tsp paprika powder
  • Salt Pepper
  • some sugar or alternative
  • 3 tbsp sunflowerFamily organic frying oil
  • 2 diced onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 diced carrots
  • 50 g tomato paste
  • 350 ml vegetable stock
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 200 g pureed tomatoes
  • 255 g kidney beans (canned)
  • 275 g corn (canned)
  • Garnish: Chili flakes Parsley Limes

Zubereitung

  1. Pour vegetable stock over the sunflower mince and let it soak for a few minutes. Then drain the mince, squeeze it dry, and discard the liquid.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the onions, carrots, and sunflower mince for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, spice mix, and tomato paste and fry briefly.
  3. Now add the tomatoes, vegetable stock, kidney beans, and corn and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and chili.
  4. Serve the chili-con sunflower with rice or make into delicious wraps. Garnish with chili flakes, parsley, or lime to taste. START EATING SUNFLOWERS
